Numeracy Week

Interview with Ms.Hindley

In general, how was the numeracy week?

For me, it is always going to be the best week of the year. I was great to see the pupils engaged in the activities that we don't normally do in lessons and it was nice to see maths celebrated throughout the school.

How was pi day?

Pi day was lots of fun, we did different activities for different year groups. So, for the Form 1s, there was a pentamino and tangram puzzle competition in Maths lesson for house points; Form 2s learnt and performed the ’27 card trick’ in lessons to impress friends and family members, for Form 3s, we did a fun maths relay for house points and for Form 4s, there was a special function drawing. Therefore, for teachers as well as students it was nice to do something slightly different and celebrate pi.
