2024 - Letters to future me

​Dear me, in the future I want to say that we will be a good person in form something and I know that our life will be very healthy and very successful.  
I know that I will have good friends and a good life for myself in a few years!

Dear future self, I still have many goals like getting to know algebra, drawing and writing well, and even getting better at some sports like swimming. I’d also like to get to know more people and make friends with them. My New Year goal is to learn a new language or get better at a language that I already know, like Spanish, French or even Chinese!

I have come a long way in pickleball and many more stuff, like I have a brother now! I have some questions for you: how old are you? How old is your brother? What’s your favourite colour, and what are your current best friends? Are you in Miami now? And did you do anything crazy? I have many more, and I hope I have told you everything! By the way, I still want to be an architect, right? I hope so….. Anyway, my goal for 2025 is to spend more time with my family and friends! Also, I need to get better at sports, and much more stuff. No one’s perfect, right? I’m great at drawing and painting, and I think I have an average report. I think I have to wait more to find out! Oh, and do you like reading? I know I wouldn’t! I think my time has come; see you in the future.

Hey girl, what’s up?! 
How is everything going in the future? I made a promise to myself that I would always be me and that no one would get to decide who I am or how I live. Have I kept my promise? Remember all the things you have gone through in the past (which could be things that I am going through now). Maybe they weren’t the happiest memories but I am sure that there are amazing things that get you out of bed every day. You are amazing, beautiful, smart, funny, playful, unique, kind, and so much more! Never forget to be yourself and I hope that when and if you see this, you are living the best life you could ever be! I could write so much more but I have to continue my lessons now. By the way, what year group are you in? I am a prep 5. Well, I hope you liked the letter.

I am sending this letter as a reminder of all the things you should have done in the next few years. 
Firstly, doing my homework before the deadline so it always goes right. And trying my very very best at everything so my parents are proud of me at form 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and I am proud of myself. 
Secondly, I hope all my next teachers will like me, like Mrs. Edwards and Ms. Twells. Also I want to have a healthy relationship with all my friends and family. So that I always have someone who has my back, and I have theirs.

 Is New Year’s fun? Did you stay awake until midnight, or did you fall asleep? I am a little nervous about 2025. I literally don’t know why. Maybe it’s because it’s an odd number or maybe because I’m nervous about senior school. I’m going to turn eleven. That’s my lucky number! I miss my cousin in the United States. You see, I moved here a few months ago from Boston. I was born in Brazil and we moved there during COVID 19. We thought it was just for a year or so, but it ended up being three. I did a theater there called Artbarn Community Theater. I am excited to start theater in Brazil too!
