How to quarantine

We all know quarantining can be harsh. You're locked inside your own house, with the same people every day. You may get bored often, and these circumstances may certainly bother you, but it doesn't need to be tedious nor painful. Here are three quick tips on making quarantine the best possible place.

Firstly, exercise your body.
You probably won't be exposed to the same levels of exercise as you were before; maybe you're not as motivated or don't have as much space to use in your home. I'm not asking you to run a marathon every day but running on the treadmill or even a short leg-stretch could highly improve your quarantined physique. It's essential to keep the body healthy, and it's great to be able to say that you're rid of your routine cramps.

Secondly, exercise your brain.
Even though your worst enemy during quarantine is the Coronavirus, a short second would be boredom. Without fun ventures to go on during the days, quarantining may seem longer than it used to, and you will undoubtedly drive yourself insane during it. Pick a hobby, read a book and talk to other people about your findings. You will soon see that many others will wish to engage in your activities and will continue to share ideas with you.

Thirdly, socialize.
It is truly a blessing to live in the digital era, where all of the world's information is one click away. Yet instead of looking on your phones for random trivia about the Kardashians, try reaching out to friends you haven't talked to recently. What once was an obstacle for social encounters is now the only tool available to do them. Use the internet. Message old friends and ask them 'what's up?' and message new friends to form new bonds. Everyone is suffering socially because of the Coronavirus, so new friendships will always be welcome.

I know I seem to have all the answers, but I don't - nobody does. So listen to your teachers, your parents and especially your friends. Don't make this situation harder than it has to be: everybody's going through the same thing. Just be smart, and we'll get through this together.

See you on the other side.
