F1 Impressions on the Senior School

After a week in the Senior School, Form 1s have written about their experiences, new things we learnt, things we would like to improve and things we like and dislike about the Senior School.

First Steps

On the first day in the Senior school, most of the Form 1's felt nervous about climbing up the stairs to the last floor. We had carved into our heads that we would have a horrible year, that we would have massive amounts of homework and that the teachers would be really strict. Nevertheless, a few of us thought that the first day would be the exciting new phase of our lives and that we would have a much a better time in the Senior School than in the Prep School.

Tutor Groups

Once we had arrived at school, we were driven to the covered area to find out which tutor group we were in. We reconnected with our friends and hoped that we were in the same class. As soon as we found out which tutor group we were in, we went up the stairs to meet our tutors.

 Novelties

Many things changed between the Prep and Senior School. We enjoyed a having greater freedom, being able to use our phones, having more school subjects, using the digital learning program, and getting used to the two week timetable. Also, we got new lockers with built in padlocks, which was something very nice that many of us talked about.

Conclusion

After our first week, most of us became more comfortable in the Senior School and decided that we would have a great time; the rest of the year was something to look forward to.
