The IB Taster Day a thrilling opportunity for upcoming IB students to feel like they are becoming a part of the IB programme. The students are able to experience the freedom, responsibilities, and obstacles faced by actual IB students. This term, Form 5 will spend two days being immersed in the IB. Here are my tips to make the most of your experience:

  1. Always pay close attention to all the details of the subjects you chose to participate in; specially the ones which you plan on taking. These details might change your mind.
  2. Don’t rush to choose your subjects; you have got plenty of time and they might determine your future. Choose wisely.
  3. Don’t hesitate to ask questions during your classes on the IB Taster Day.
  4. On this day, you have almost the same freedom as the 6th form; therefore, be wise!
  5. The IB Taster Day was created to guide you, so make full use of it.
  6. Ask current IB students for advice and insight on their subjects to see if that’s what you want.
  7. Try to not be distracted by your classmates, as it is your only chance to get some real understanding and knowledge on what IB classes are like.
  8. Don’t base your choices on the teacher, but on the subjects you are truly keen to learn.
  9. If the teacher wasn’t able to answer your questions in class, come at some other time to clarify your doubts on the subject.
  10. Don't forget to enjoy every moment of it!
