Being Part of the Battle of the Bands

Being part of a band means you have to put a lot of dedication and commitment into it. For example, sometimes you have to spend some of your lunches practicing throughout the week, or take 10 minutes learning your lines by repeating them once a day. Things like this is the easy part of being in a band.

Once you go up on stage, you feel anxious and scared, but remember that is just your imagination thinking the worst possible outcome. If you remain calm you might avoid making a mistake when you are singing or playing an instrument.

Also remember that PRACTICE makes PERFECT. So, try to rehearse at least 2 or 3 times a week. You will see that you progress as the time passes.

And remember the most important part: work as a team. If you want to make it through the Battle of the Bands, or anything in general, you have got to cooperate with your group. Even if they are not you closest friends, just remember you wouldn’t be there singing or playing an instrument if it weren’t for them.
