On the 2nd of December, St Paul's School welcomed over 120 delegates to take part on the sixth edition of its annual MiniMUN conference. Students from Graded, St. Nicholas, St. Francis and PACA woke up early on a Saturday morning to go to St Paul’s and debate worldwide current affairs for 5 hours. Although MiniMUN is the shortest conference held, all delegates managed to make the most of this experience, by developing remarkable arguments, articulating their thoughts clearly and stating logical speeches and points of information.

Out of 8 chairs, 5 were Pauleans – some who were chairing their first conference and some who were chairing their last. Out of the many exceptional students taking part in the conference two stood out amongst the others: Bruna Sapiro, the Chief Operations Officer, and Henrique Lorente, the Secretary General. These two helped to organise the event and sorted all problems during it, making it all possible. Another important figure in the conference was Mr Luis Sousa, the MUN director, who counselled all pupils participating in the conference.

This MiniMUN was extremely successful. It managed to give new and old delegates a unique experience which will benefit them for future conferences such as, BRAMUN and THIMUN. Through the conference many gained better confidence and managed to expand their debating skills, adding one more conference to their MUN experience!
