Overall, my senior school taster day was really fun as we had a wide range of lessons, from Drama to Maths. Bursting with excitement, we went to our class and registered ourselves. We couldn’t wait to go to senior school and check out the lockers. Afterwards, we went to our English lesson, which we learnt a bit about Shakespeare. Then we went to our P.S.H.E class and we talked about our doubts and worried about being a Form 1 pupil next year. Finally, we had break time, which started later than we were used to. We noticed that there were many pupils studying, which showed us how much responsibility you have in the senior school. Later on, we had History in which we learnt about the “Black Death”, a diseases that killed lots of people during the Mid-Age time. I really enjoyed it. Next, we went to our Science lesson and did a “gas tap” experiment using a Bunsen Burner and different chemicals. It was truly an incredible experience and I hope we can do it again. At 12:30 we had lunch that lasted one hour and was also later than our usual lunch. Then we had Maths and we didn’t know that Maths could be so fun. We talked about angles, multiplication and shapes. Lastly, we had Drama lesson, which was very exciting since we had never had one before. We did a “freeze-frame” activity and it was amazing! We arranged ourselves into groups and had to listen to each other to complete the task. This was without doubt a wonderful day in the senior school and I now look forward to next year!
