Dear Pauleans,

I’ve heard that a lot of pupils, parents and staff have been asking after me so I thought it time I gave you a little update.

It has been a while since I saw most of you and I can say that it has been quite an adventure since I left the chair in Dr Cowley’s office in the sixth form centre. The last few months with my new parents Mr Harris and Dr Cowley have been a complete change to routine and I must admit I do miss all the love from St Pauls teachers, parents and pupils.

But I have settled in very well to life and I certainly don’t miss the tortoise food and drinking from the gutter near the sixth form centre. I have put on quite a bit of weight and enjoy regular grooming sessions with Mr Harris. It is particularly fulfilling as it is the perfect opportunity to bite him. Only this morning I got over excited, bit Dad, he kicked the cupboard and his foot proceeded to gush with blood. He was not impressed. When I’m naughty he threatens to bring me back to St Pauls, but I know how much he loves me and I’m not going anywhere!

My favourite pass times are eating, chatting to the birds next door and charging about like a complete nutter. I can confirm that I am now thoroughly spoilt. Yesterday I spent a lovely evening on Dr Cowley’s lap watching ‘Victoria’ trying to steal her digestive biscuits and cup of tea.

I have had all of my vaccinations and I am now microchipped so I’m ready to travel internationally and one day permanently to the UK with my parents. I am officially now dual heritage.

I also have a (slightly) new name, Thomas Apollo. My mother’s family have a tradition whereby all pets are named after famous (mostly royal) historical people, Jenghiz, Albert, George to name but a few. I have feline ‘sisters from another mister’ living with the grandparents in the UK and they are called Mary and Anne (Boleyn)so naturally I would be named after their historical brother Thomas…

So Pauleans, rest assured I am being thoroughly indulged and loved by the British parents who have affectionately nicknamed me ‘The Brazilian Son’ and I will be sure to keep you updated on my adventures…. Meow!
