By: L. Zelmanovits and G. Pow On the 9th of June, St. Paul's school had their annual sports festival held at USP. The sports festival is an annual school event that has students race, jump, throw and kick against each other for their houses. At 7:30am the buses left school and went to USP. After a while rain was evident so the weather was against us. A few minutes passed and the rain had ceased and everyone was ready to start. But before we could start we had an introduction to the prizes and a farewell to Alessandro Zarzur. The time had arrived the sports festival had begun! Here are our personal thoughts on the festival: Lucas’s view: The way I felt at USP was a sense of pressure and greatness. The first time we set foot in to the court we knew that we needed to fulfil our duty. I personally was relaxed and calmed down during the race but there were many whom was afraid and not prepared. Gabriel’s View: For me personally I felt a lot of tension going into the court as I thought I would fail on the first loop but it ended up being just fine in the end, but with the Tug of War on the other hand I felt better about myself because I remained calm. Here's what some of the Form 1's thought: “It was fun! We had lots to do so it was very tiring and the rain also didn’t help.” “The sports festival was an amazing opportunity to improve our skills in P.E and to break our own records.” “The sports festival was fun and awesome, I also won a medal.” “It was heart racing and competitive; I really liked it.” “It was very cool and awesome, I loved the competitions and the excitement in everybody.” BOYS WINNERS GIRLS WINNERS
