This movie tells the story of a couple, Mia and John. You might wonder what a scary-doll named Annabelle has to do with any of this… Well keep reading and we will get there. Mia is pregnant (believe me this is important) and she loves collecting dolls because she finds them “beautiful”. From the moment you see a baby room full of dolls in the movie you already know something is going to go wrong, I mean its so creepy! One day her husband John brings Mia a vintage toddler sized doll as a gift (spoiler alert: It’s Annabelle) and she loves her, giving her the best spot within her collection of dolls. Everything proceeds normally until one night Mia wakes up to blood curling screams coming from her neighbour’s house. She wakes up John and like every scary movie, he goes to investigate and tells her to call the police. Mia stays inside their house and as she is dialling the number, we see the murderer (woman) entering her house.  John comes back in and tries to save Mia as she is being attacked by this woman. When you think things cannot get worst, the woman locks herself in Mia’s doll room and performs a satanic ritual, where her soul is transferred to the vintage doll’s (Annabelle) body, and this is where the movie really begins.

Annabelle is awarded only 29% in rating and as a prequel of The Conjuring it leaves much to be wished for. If you are looking for a scary movie to watch this Halloween, I do not recommend that you watch this movie. Apart from its good soundtrack, there is not much that you will be missing if you do not watch it.
