Area 51, A source of alien conspiracies

While I looked for Area 51 on the map, all I could think of  was are they watching me watching them?

Government agencies did a terrible job at keeping this place a secret. It is remote; only 150 miles away "Las Vegas" and surrounded by barbed wire. In 2013, we were told by the CIA that the area served as a testing ground for the United States government and that spy planes such as the U-2 were built and experimented there. However, the Lockheed U-2 was introduced in 1957, and even so, after 60 years, anyone who goes near the fences gets escorted by security.

Is there something deeper and darker to hide?

THE ROSWELL NEW MEXICO UFO CONSPIRACY

The alleged Roswell alien crash occurred on July 1947. It gave birth to many documentaries and TV shows such as Roswell, a popular science fiction television series, which followed a group of teens in the small town of Roswell, New Mexico, the site of the crash.

Back in 1947, a rancher called Mac Brazel found large pieces of metal scattered on his property in New Mexico. He gave it to the authorities in Roswell, who grew curious and ordered an investigation. The town’s first army command issued an article stating that what they had was a type of “flying disk”. Later on, a contradictory statement affirmed that it was debris from a weather balloon. Even so, there are many theories which connect to the Roswell UFO. The most popular one is that Area 51 is an underground base that hides unknown, otherworldly flying objects and secret alien bodies, some of which were discovered from this incident.

THE AURORA PROJECT

The final conspiracy theory, which will be mentioned, is the Aurora Project. It concerns a supersonic aircraft that would be the fastest in history, with a speed of Mach 6. As a reference, Mach 1 is equal to the speed of sound. When searching in Google maps, one can see a 6-mile runaway, implying that this may be where the aircraft is, or is yet to be tested.

Many people believe in this theory. Perhaps the government keeps all its tests a secret because the world would never be the same if we were to know what they know. Maybe it’s not extraterrestrial life they are hiding, but supersonic aircrafts. But, behind those barbed fences and security, there certainly lies something which is worth hiding.
