1.   As amazing as it seems Pennywise is actually a being from outer space who relies on children flesh to survive. And the reason it takes the form of a clown is because the human brain can only see what their minds can project. 

​2.   In the novel Pennywise takes many forms some being a werewolf, a swarm of piranhas and the shark from jaws. Also, he goes by many other names like Bob Gray, the eater of worlds and consumption. 

3.    Pennywise has a striking resemblance to Ronald McDonald (the McDonald fast food mascot). 

4.   The Pennywise concept was inspired by a real murder who dressed up as a clown and killed children. 

5.    Pennywise isn't the only thing the losers club have to worry since there is a group of bully's who are also terrorising the kids.
