Number of seasons: 2
Genre: Science Fiction and Horror
Created by: The Duffer Brothers

Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror series made in July 15, 2016. It was written and directed by the Duffer Brothers. This show is set in 1983 in a small town called Hawkins.

Plot summaries:
Season 1
A group of four nerdy boys (Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will) are living their normal lives until one night, when Will is returning home, he is attacked by a monster (Demogorgon) and goes missing. Many search parties are sent to the woods as they think that he got lost there. Meanwhile, an unknown girl is wandering in town trying to get away from the ‘bad guys.’ A restaurant owner decides to help her and lets her stay with him until the social service arrives. We also find a hint of her secret during this scene.
Will’s friends decide to go search for their best friend even though the police had forbidden them to do so. They walk in the woods for a while until they hear a sound, who they think is Will. They shine their torch on someone and realize that it is a girl (the same girl that was with the restaurant owner). Apparently, the ‘bad guys’ showed up and tried to capture her, but she escaped and ran into the woods. She calls herself ‘Eleven’ based on the numbers she has stamped on her fore-arm.
Mike’s older sister ‘Nancy’ is struggling to help her best friend ‘Barbara’ and her boyfriend ‘Steve’ at the same time. She doesn’t know whose side she should take. The relationship between Mike and Eleven changes drastically and soon the four friends help Hopper (the chief of Hawkins) and Joyce (Will’s mother) to try and find Will.

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU HAVEN’T COMPLETED SEASON 1 OF STRANGER THINGS

Season 2
Will is back home but he now has ‘visions’. These visions sometimes make him feel as if he is back in the Upside Down and it scares him. His therapist calls them ‘episodes’ and tries his best to help Will. One day, Will sees a giant shadow monster whom he says is not a Demogorgon. He draws it lurking over the arisen. Soon, Mike and Will discover that these episodes are not flashbacks, but something that is currently happening in the Upside Down. While this is happening, Dustin finds a small creature in his trash who he calls D’artagan (aka Dart). He quickly bonds with him and loves him dearly.
A new family show up in town. Their daughter’s name is ‘Maxine’ (or Max) and her stepbrother’s name is ‘Billy’. Billy and Max do not exactly have the best relationship and are constantly arguing. Dustin and Lucas try to befriend Max but fail many times. Meanwhile, Nancy and Jonathan (Will’s older brother) are trying to find justice for Barbara’s death. Their relationship grows stronger the more time they spend with each other.

Overall, I recommend this show for anyone who is looking for a suspenseful and exciting show that is unique. You will be obsessed from the first episode, and the mix of romance, science fiction and mystery will all captivate you!
