Suzano Shooting

Suzano, is a small town in the state of São Paulo, just outside São Paulo city, where a horrific shooting took place.

The 13th of March marked the day of the horrific school shooting in Suzano (Brazil) that left 10 dead and 16 injured in the public-school Professor Raul Brasil. The murderers were two old pupilsl: 17-year-old Guilherme Taucci Monteiro and 25-year-old Luiz Henrique de Castro. Both murderers killed 5 students, 2 employees and a man who owned a vehicle store — also the uncle of one of the murderers. They committed suicide immediately after the shooting.

Again, it is hard to know why this happened. Especially because the murderers arrived at the school firing seemingly without purpose. Some people theorize that their time spent on violent games influenced the attack. On the other hand, some sources say that if this were the case then, due to the popularity of these games, there would be a ridiculous amount of occasions like this one. Personally, I agree with the latter. I believe such an occasion comes from problems with a much more significant and serious origin.  Maybe they have some mental disease? Maybe they were abused while growing up?

As controversy surrounding the issue develops, let's just hope this won’t happen again anytime soon.
