Green Book:
This movie, the best picture winner, tells a compelling tale about two men who form an unlikely bond during a trip through the United States’ Midwest and Deep South. Tony “Lip” Vallelonga is a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx who is recruited by Dr Shirley, a world-class African-American pianist, to drive and protect him through their journey of the segregated south. The film isn’t only a touching story that introduces three dimensional characters with deep arcs, but also a social commentary on the relationship between white and black men. The film also teaches important lessons about being mentally strong and how to find one’s true self through its realistic and compelling reflection about those who inhabited America during the 1960s.

Black Panther
By now, everyone should have an idea of what Black Panther is about. For those who don’t, here it is: After T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) assumes the throne of Wakanda – and mantle of Black Panther – a challenger arrives in the form of Erik Killmonger (Michael B Jordan), who wants both the crown and to end Wakanda’s isolationism. The tale is extremely intriguing in the sense that it presents compelling characters who all have their wants and needs explicitly set out. What truly is remarkable about this movie is that the villain has a valid argument so we come to sympathize with him in a way.

BlackkKlansman
In the early 1970s, Ron Stallworth (John D. Washington) becomes the first african-american to serve as a detective in the Colorado Springs PD. In an attempt to make a name for himself, Stallworth decides to infiltrate and expose the KKK, leading him to enduring in many thrilling adventures to achieve his goals. It is a magnificent crime story with a lot of drama that will intrigue any and all.

A Star is Born
This is the tragic love story of songwriters Jackson Maine and Ally. The former is a weathered hat of a man tied to his old ways; the latter is a vibrant talent who can make any song seem great. Although it didn’t win the grand prize, it won the best original song, “Shallow”, as well as the audience’s hearts: It has been everywhere and all that anyone has talked about ever since its premiere.

Roma
This drama takes place in the 70`s in the city of Mexico. The movie was made in black and white which is uncommon for movies now a days. The story is about two domestic workers who help a couple take care of four children but the story soon starts to get complicated when the husband runs away with his mistress leaving his family behind. The story finally kick-starts once and for all when the wife takes one of the domestic workers in a vacation with her children causing this ‘family’ to bond even closer together making a beautiful yet dramatic and melancholic story.

Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian rhapsody is the spectacular biography of the great Freddie Mercury, lead singer in one of the best bands of the world; Queen. The movie tells the story and uprising of Freddie Mercury it explores how he grew as a person in such a difficult industry as well the road for fame Queen took to such success. The movie celebrates Queen`s biggest hits such as ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘We are the champions’ and ‘Love of my life’. It is a beautiful movie which will most certainly intrigue you into the glorious mind and life of the legend Freddie Mercury as well as addicting you to Queen.

Vice
Vice tells the story of Governor George W Bush, a republican and Dick Cheney, a CEO. This story kick-starts when Dick runs for vice president in the 2000 presidential election. Both men help reshape the US and work towards a better world. This story is both a Drama and a comedy and is very exciting.
