You know those moments when you randomly remember a scene from a movie that you don't recognize at first, and you then spend the entire day trying to remember from which film that scene comes from? Well, if you can relate, we have assembled a list of the possible "forgotten" movies from your childhood!
Originally created by Tony De Terrizzi's book "The Spiderwick Chronicles", the movie follows the story of the brothers Jared, Simon Grace and Mallory when they move into the Spiderwick estate with their mother Helen and find themselves pulled into a fantasy world filled with mystical creatures. Released in 2008, the film features actors such as Freddie Highmore starring as Jared, Sarah Bolger as Mallory and Mary Louise Parker as Helen.
Monster vs alien:
Brought to us by DreamWorks animation, Monster VS aliens (released in 2009) is set on futuristic earth. A woman is transformed into a giant after being struck by a meteorite on her wedding day and has to fight alongside other monsters to save the world. This was a hard one to find!
The Never Ending story:
Released in 1984, the never-ending story is probably one of the most nostalgic films. When a troubled young boy escapes his bullies in an old book shop and stumbles upon a magical book, "The Never-Ending story" about Fantasia, a fantasy land that is threatened by the Nothing, a darkness that consumes everything. Bastien continues reading the book and finds that he relates a lot to the main character.
Released in 2007 by Sony pictures animation, Surf's up is an American computer-animated mockumentary directed by Ash Brannon and Chris Buck. The movie gives an insight into the cynical world of professional sports as the story follows the protagonist's journey (Maverick) of entering the annual penguin world surfing championship.
Produced by Dreamworks and released in early 2006, "Flushed Away" is an animation adventure comedy film directed by David Bowers and Sam Fell. The story unfolds when an uptown rat gets flushed down the toilet of his penthouse apartment, ending in the sewers of London and eventually learning new life morals.
