By: M. C. Dutra The hot weather is already here, and it is only supposed to get even hotter from now on! With the arrival of the new season, the change in temperatures inspire new ideas of what to wear to school on the ever-changing weather, be it cold or hot. Still, make sure you wear clothes that are comfortable enough to spend a whole day in school without feeling uncomfortable or too hot. Trading thick pants for looser styles is a good idea during the hot weather as it makes you feel cool and relaxed. For some bonus styling tips you could pair patterns with a solid coloured piece for a more stylish outfit. I personally recommend wearing vertical stripes because it elongates your body, making you look taller. Looking for a tidier look? Wear outfits with details such as ruffles or blouses with strings that create a laced up effect to look more put-together. Wearing lighter tones during summer, such as white, blue and gray, tend to make you feel less hot throughout the day as these colours attract less heat. Even though it is very unlikely to experience chilly weather as spring and summer are approaching, there may be some colder days too. For those occasions, my suggestion is to wear your favourite fluffy sweater, dark jeans and boots. UGGS are a staple sight in the Sixth Form centre because of their plush interior and cosy fit. In my opinion, they’re one of the most comfortable boots in the market, and their infamous design never becomes outdated. On those famous Brazilian sweltering hot days, is it recommended to wear skirts or dresses, and pair them up with sandals. It will make you feel less hot than you would feel wearing pants and shoes for sure. Also, adding bright colours such as red, orange, pink, or yellow to your look gives it more life and a summer-y, vivid appearance.
