By: A. Jafet When thinking about Asia, we always have some initial thoughts popup in mind. Some of these might be misconceptions, and I’m here to correct them. Yes, Russia is in Asia. No, Japan and China aren’t the only countries there. Yes, some of those pretty islands you see on Tumblr are in Asia, and yes, their culture is very different.
Today, I’m here to give you a guide through one of the countries in Asia, Thailand. Thailand is known for its white sandy beaches, and clear blue water oceans. As well as it’s, exotic wildlife, and eccentric culture. Oh, and good food. This is a list of some of the most famous place to visit when you are there, and what to do while you are there: Bangkok (Capital, urban city) Hotels: The Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La, Jw Marriott Attractions: Floating market, Jim Thompson's House, visit the buddhist temples such as Wat Pho Temple Restaurants: Nami Teppanyaki Steakhouse (JW Marriott), Tsu Japanese Restaurant (JW Marriott), Le Normandie (Mandarin Oriental), Sirocco (where the movie Hangover was filmed) Chiang Mai (Countryside) Hotels: Four Seasons, Anantara, Akyra Manor, Shangri-La, Le Meridien Attractions: Elephant experience (where you get to ride and feed them), Wat Chedi Luang temples, Tiger Kingdom, White water rafting, typical Thai food cooking classes Restaurants: Rim Thai Kitchen (Four Seasons Resort), David’s Kitchen, The Service 1921, Favola (Le Meridien) Phuket (Island) Hotels: Anantara Villas, Renaissance Resort & Spa, JW Marriott, SALA Attractions: Visit Phi Phi islands, visit Phang Nga Bay (a boat trip) Restaurants: Thong Dee The Kathu Brasserie, Sam’s Steaks and Grill, The Palm Cuisine. These hotels have much to offer, therefore you could reserve a day of your trip, to relax by the pool, use the hotel amenities and have a delicious dinner at one of the splendid restaurants some of these hotels have to offer. From Brasil, you could travel by Emirates (with a lay over in Dubai), Qatar Airways (with a lay over in Doha), Air France (with a lay over in Paris), KLM (with a lay over in Amsterdam), Turkish Airlines (via Istanbul). All of these would then land in Bangkok, which is truly a must- see city. I hope this guide has helped you, and cleared any doubts you have about Thailand. After all, Thailand is truly a magical place, and it is one of those places which should definitely be added on your bucket list!
