5. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is a wonderful place to go any time of the year, but during Christmas season, it looks livelier than ever. The city has a lot to offer including many activities and things to do such as parties, concerts, markets, art exhibitions and decorated buildings. Together with the natural excitement from the friendly locals for Christmas, you are assured to have the perfect holiday.

4. Honolulu, United states
Although the winter season in Hawaii isn’t filled with snow, the island really does know how to celebrate Christmas. Warm temperatures and surf-worthy beaches lead to amazing events and parades; Honolulu is a great place to spend the holidays. Usually locals host grand parties at night, where instead of turkey, they eat luau pig. Sometimes they even run up a 4000m volcano to collect snow into their trucks and build snowmen’s, having to avoid the risk of melting snow!

3. Reykjavik, Iceland
You don't need any Christmas-themed activities to make Iceland perfect for the occasion, because everything there has 'festive' written all over it. This is the place seen in movies; city lights, beautiful snow, gracious mountains, and to top it all off, a phenomenal view of the northern lights. The northern lights are a must when in Reykjavik as this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness something so stunning and fascinating.

4. Quebec City, Canada
Quebec City awfully resembles a magical, winter wonderland setting; carefully built brick houses, decorated with bright and attractive decorations, topped with a blanket of fluffy white snow. If a pearly white Christmas is what you wish for, this is the place for you. After snowing, the locals are just as excited as the tourists; it seems like everyone becomes a kid again. Quebec streets fill with lights and decorations making it impossible to forget Christmas is right around the corner.

1. New York City, United States
There is absolutely no arguing that one of the best places in the world is New York City. Christmastime there is like no other; shops, the weather, the people, the decorated buildings. Locations such as Times Square, Broadway, The Rockefeller Centre are mesmerizing. The place is absolutely magical. If you choose to do a little bit of everything or a lot of one thing you will never, ever get bored and run out of things to do! And maybe, it would be a good idea to stick around for New Year's too.
