How to improve your concentration when studying

Focusing during online lessons is not easy when you have all the distractions in the world right beside you. In this article you will learn tips on how to improve your concentration while studying, so that you can revise better!

Mobile Devices
Being on your phone or playing with your computer is one of the most common distractions of all time, you always have your mobile device with you and it is very tempting to take a glimpse on what the latest trends are or text your friends. The easiest way to fix this issue is to put your phone somewhere where you don’t see it (that way you will not be tempted to look at it) and eventually you will forget that it is there. To stop fidgeting with your computer it is easier to have only one desktop, that way the only thing you will be looking at is your work.

Determination
The best way to keep concentrated during the lesson is to determine yourself to do something, or in other words, set a target and give yourself a reward if you complete it. It could be some resting time after school, a facetime call with your friends (AFTER SCHOOL!) etc. This will keep you motivated to continue doing your work and eventually you will reach your target.

Eating and Drinking
You might not see a problem with eating and drinking in class, it just having a quick snack then you will pay attention... wrong! By the time you go and get a snack, you could have missed important information about your assignment. You probably will be clueless on what to do, and probably have to ask your friends, which leads me to the next point.

Friends
We all miss our friends very much during this quarantine, however try to avoid talking to them because you are distracting not only yourself from work, but also the person you are talking to. Try focusing on your assignments and talk to your friends after school.

I hope that these tips will help you concentrate more during lessons. They have helped me a lot to focus and don’t forget to interact and take part! Take some time off your screen after school and exercise!
