Indispensable things which didn't exist 10 years ago

SPOTIFY  - LAUNCHED 2008 -  
As of June 2018, Spotify had over 83 million paying subscribers worldwide. Nowadays it is very hard to encounter someone who listens to music which isn`t via Spotify. Being a teenager in 2018 means music is a great part of your livelihood, teenagers listen to music when they wake up, on their way to school, in school, when they're taking a shower, studying etc... With the surge of Spotify, listening to music became much more efficient, the app creates its own playlists which you can access and choose according to your situation and mood, it enables you to see the top songs worldwide, podcasts, livestreams and much more. With all that Spotify has to offer, listening to music was made almost impossible to endure in in any platform which isn`t Spotify, it`s hard to imagine life without it. We would listen to music on Itunes which required us to purchase songs individually, or  Youtube which wouldn`t let you download any songs, and if you were unlucky enough to download any bad apps your cellphone might have caught a virus.    

UBER - Launched in 2009 - 
The creation of Uber transportation has been made something of extreme simplicity to those who don’t own a car 24/7. Uber enabled the use of public transportation to be safer, by using the app your location and activity inside the vehicle as well as the driver's information is registered on your phone, therefore making the whole experience of using public transport much safer. It also created a new job and employed thousands of people in an easy way, as becoming an Uber driver is so simple since it only requires you to download the app and insert a few details. It is very hard to even remember how we used to move around, we had to call cabs, most times the cabs would take hours to arrive with no previse prediction of the arrival and journey time. We are so used to just clicking a button and having a uber in our front in less than 5 minutes that remembering life without it looks extremely complicated. 

 INSTAGRAM Launched in 2010 
It is shocking to remember a time where we wouldn`t scroll on our feeds every day, put stories of our every move, and know exactly what all our followers were doing every second. Instagram has created a new part of our lives in this world where everyone knows everything everyone is doing each second. We have information about everyone and have access to so much information about the world. It is weird to remember that during the holidays we would travel and wouldn’t even know or merely care to know what other people were doing. Instagram has turned into a type of ID for the society, people recognize us by our Instagram profile, we judge and interpret other people by what we see on their Instagram, it puts us ‘’on the map’’ whoever doesn`t have a Instagram almost doesn’t really exist no one that doesn’t directly know them doesn’t know who they are. There are over 1 billion users on Instagram where most people spend on average 53 minutes or more per day.
