It is practically common knowledge that the more “basic” fashion pieces in your closet are yourr ‘ride or die’s; but the thing is, while the word “basic” may seem easy to work with, it is possibly one of the hardest things fashion has encountered to date. How do you know which pieces to have? Or what to invest on? Or what will make the biggest impact but still be very versatile? If you don't, then continue reading and get some tips on what are some must-haves for everyone's dreamy closet.

1. Basic Tee's :
First off, let's start with the base of basics: a simple coloured tee. Let me tell you this: T-shirts are a fever worldwide! From patterned to plain, t-shirts are considered a basic for everyone's closet. The only problem is, the majority of those out there lack the fashion sense of 'basic' we are looking for, and that is why I'm here - to help you with that! An indispensable piece is a white/black t-shirt, but the way you style it is what makes your outfit count, and the best part is, you can wear a white or black shirt essentially with anything! From jeans to clean cut pants (for a classier look), all the way to a long structured skirt using the shirt tied up to give a cooler vibe…. Anything is possible!

2. Blue jeans:
Blue jeans are absolutely essential. However, there are too many types of them to have every single one of them in your closet - vintage style, bell bottomed, skinny touch or boot cut - look out for what fits best your body. But here is why they are essential: they can make your outfit be whatever you want it to be: use them with sneakers for a more casual take, sandals to look more chic and even heels, for the most stylish touch! They can also be paired with everything from t-shirts and formal blouses to cool jackets! Jeans are a staple, and they're a must on everyone's closet.

3. Off-the-shoulder tops:
Off-the-shoulder tops are as girly as they are a classic! As they show a bit more of skin, they make your collarbone look amazing (especially if you’ve got a tan), so opt for a cute necklace to go with them! They can be striped, simple or floral, but they never fail to cause an impact! You can pair them with jeans, skirts or shorts, making them certainly a must-have!

But most importantly, the most precious item you have in your closet is your own body, so only use what makes you happy and comfortable with it! If you prefer patterned skirts - rock them! If jean shorts are your go-to's - then own them! Don't feel obliged to wear anything you don’t feel is appropriate, and never think you have or don't have the 'right body' to wear a certain clothing item! Always be - and use - whatever you want. Hope you enjoyed!
