Transportation
Now more than ever, we should all try to travel 'green'. In other words, we should try to use alternative methods of transportation such as riding bikes, walking, or even running. With the increasing concerns of climate change and global warming, we must take into consideration our carbon footprint and its impact to the environment.

Reuse, Reduce & Recycle
We should always seek to reuse materials instead of throwing them away. For instance, instead of disposing glass jars, you can use them for cooking, storing items or even growing house plants. Additionally, recycling is vital for sustainability. When shopping, look for products that are made from recyclable or biodegradable materials such as bamboo toothbrushes or paper straws. As always, try to reduce your plastic consumption, opt for items without plastic wrapping and take your water bottle everywhere instead of purchasing one every day.

Grow your own fruits
Even though it may seem difficult to plant fruits and vegetables at first, online videos and websites can be extremely helpful in guiding you. Instead of buying fruits from supermarkets, you can plant some of your favourite fruits at your home which is financially advantageous and healthier as there are no fertilizers. In fact, one of the easiest fruits to grow at home is strawberries, specially, as we live in a tropical country.

Composting
Why waste food scraps at home, when you can use them for composting? Nowadays there are many websites and articles about how we can use our food scraps as fertilizers for soil.
Here is one that can help:

Collect and reuse water
After experiencing a water crisis in Sao Paulo between 2014 and 2016, it became essential to reflect about our water consumption. There are many techniques to collect water at our own homes. The easiest way to collect water is by leaving a large bucket exposed outside your house/apartment when raining or collecting water from your shower while, you wait the water to heat. By using these methods, you can reutilise water for cleaning purposes at your home. In addition, this water can also be used for washing vegetables or cooking depending on the water purity.
