XXX Tentacion: The Death of a Young Talent

​Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, also known as XXX Tentacion died on the 18th of June, 2018. The singer was merely twenty years old and had many hits on the top charts of several countries. His music, both the hits and lesser known ones, served unofficially as help for many youngsters fighting depression and difficulty in their lives. Even though XXX Tentacion’s lyrics often include violent and gang related imagery, his use of social media reflected an amazing personality, providing inspirational and love-filled messages to his audience. 
 
Unfortunately, XXX Tentacion was shot by two men earlier this year as a result of pure violence: not gang-related or by so-called ‘haters’ of his music and ideology. Both known killers were wearing masks and were interested only in the property XXX owned.
 
XXX had several legal issues tied to his name before passing. In 2016, he was arrested a total of three times, twice for battery (one with a deadly weapon) and once for robbery. His murder occurred just one week before a key trial for the extended decision of a pregnant victim. Prior to his murder, he had denied discussing the subject and sharing information of his trial on several social media platforms, referring to the charges as the “result of falling in love with the wrong person”. He also stated that his previous girlfriend knew that he would be charged of crimes like that because of his criminal history, which included a number of previous episodes behind bars.
